National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Catholic Council
The 2022 NATSICC Assembly will be held in Townsville from 19-23 September and will allow people to reconnect and rebuild networks following the impact of COVID on our Communities. Delegates will listen to speakers, participate in Yarning Circles and share their stories.
The delegate support program aims to connect local Aboriginal and Islander Ministries with Parishes, Schools and groups who might be in a position to provide support for delegates to travel to Townsville.
By helping someone to attend the Assembly, you will be providing them with the opportunity to strengthen their own faith, but to also learn about programs and initiatives from around Australia and bring that back to your Parish, school or group. The opportunity also exists for them to share their experience with your community - if that is something that is agreed upon.
How you can support a delegate
You know who you would like to sponsor:
1. You can simply register for the person for the Assembly via the booking portal
2. Send an email to assembly@natsicc.org.au advising of the registration. This will allow us to connect them up with the State / Territory NATSICC Councillor
3. Book accommodation (The Assembly will be held at St Patrick's College - 45 The Strand Townsville). There are a number of accommodation options within walking distance. Additional information to assist with your accommodation bookings)
4. Book flights
You would like to offer sponsorship to someone in your State/Territory:

Indicative Pricing
Registration: $500 (including meals)
Accommodation: A large range of accommodation is available ranging from hostel style - hotel. 4 nights will be required.
Flights: Vary greatly depending on location
Other: Taxi Fares from the airport to The Strand are between $25 - $35
